Work to begin at busy DeLand intersection; US 92 and Woodland Boulevard
DeLand – The Florida Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin a resurfacing project at the intersection of State Road (SR) 600/US 92 and Woodland Boulevard (US 17) in DeLand on Monday, July 18. Work is expected to continue until Spring 2017.
The improvements for this project include milling and resurfacing the travel lanes on SR 600/US 92 between Woodland Boulevard and Alabama Avenue as well as the reconstruction and widening of the turn lanes on SR 600/US 92 at the intersection. The project also includes minor drainage and signal enhancements.
Work will occur mostly at night. Access to residences and businesses will be maintained, but pedestrians are advised that they will be directed to an alternate route as crews rebuild concrete islands at the intersection.
All schedules are weather permitting and subject to change. Updates can be found on the Department’s website www.cflroads.com.
The FDOT urges motorists to use caution when traveling through construction zones.
