Resurfacing project to begin on SR 472
Volusia County – The Florida Department of Transportation is scheduled to begin a resurfacing project on State Road (SR) 472 from the Martin Luther King Jr. Beltway to Graves Avenue in Deltona on July 18. Work is expected to be completed in Spring 2017.
The improvements for this project include milling and resurfacing of the travel lanes and turn lanes on SR 472. The project also includes resurfacing the entry and exit ramps at the Interstate 4 (I-4) interchange to the visible pavement joints, as well as minor drainage, guardrail and signal improvements.
The contractor, P&S Paving, Inc., will perform day and night operations. Motorists can expect periodic single lane closures, as well as nighttime ramp closures at the I-4 interchange that will require detours using Orange Camp Road or Saxon Boulevard.
All schedules are weather permitting and subject to change. Updates can be found on the department’s website www.cflroads.com.
The FDOT urges motorists to use caution when traveling through construction zones.
