Lake County - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information meeting regarding planned capacity improvements along State Road (SR) 19 in Lake County.

The project crosses Little Lake Harris and the limits extend from Savage Circle to Flagship Avenue.  The project will involve the removal of the existing 2-lane bridge and the construction of a new 2-lane bridge with 10-foot wide shoulders and an 8-foot wide sidewalk. This project is currently funded for construction and will be advertised as a Design Build project in the fall of 2016 with construction beginning in the summer of 2017.

The meeting is scheduled for Thursday, July 14, 2016, at the Adventure Christian Church located at 3701 N. Eichelberger Road, Tavares, Florida 32788. The meeting will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. and will consist of an informal open house setting during which graphics will be available for viewing. Representatives from both the FDOT and consultant design team will be in attendance.
