Sumter County – A traffic shift for the northbound on ramp from County Road (CR) 470 to Interstate 75 (I-75) in Sumterville is scheduled to take place overnight Wednesday, June 29. The shift is part of the Florida Department of Transportation’s (FDOT) I-75 widening project from CR 470 to just south of Florida’s Turnpike.

Northbound traffic entering I-75 from CR 470 (Exit 321) will be moved to the newly constructed on ramp as part of the final configuration for the reconstructed interchange.

Access to northbound I-75 will be maintained at all times. Motorists will be able to use the existing on ramp until all striping is in place and the shift can be made.

The schedule is weather permitting. Project updates will be posted to FDOT’s Central Florida website, www.cflroads.com. Construction-related questions can be directed to Public Information Coordinator Shemir Wiles at 352-427-4054 or shemir.wiles@dot.state.fl.us.
