LakeCounty –On Monday, April 25, a northbound lane closure begins on US 27 between Boggy Marsh Road and Lake Louisa Road, which is expected to last for the remainder of this construction project, with completion in the fall of 2018.
The single, outside lane closure is part of the Florida Department of Transportation's US 27 widening project in Clermont. The closure will allow contractor Ranger Construction Industries, Inc. to work on drainage, sidewalks, signing and pavement markings, restoration of the existing lanes and the addition of a new lane. The single lane configuration on both northbound and southbound US 27 is expected to save more than $2 million dollars in construction costs, and cut more than a year off the time to construct. Adding temporary lanes would have added time and money to the project.
Current project information will be posted to the Central Florida FDOT website at www.cflroads.com. To ensure your safety and the safety of others, please exercise extra caution when driving through construction work zones.
