Orange County - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) will have a meeting to provide updates about the State Road (SR) 50 widening project. During the meeting, staff will introduce preliminary design concepts to the public.

 

The public meeting will 5:30-7:30 p.m. Tuesday, December 8, 2015, at the Eastpoint Fellowship Church, 15060 Old Cheney Highway, Orlando.

 

The project limits are SR 50 from east of Avalon Park Boulevard/Pilgrim Street to east of Chuluota Road (County Road (CR) 419)/Columbia School Road.

 

The project will widen the roadway from a four-lane, to a six-lane roadway and provide accommodations for both bicycles and pedestrians.

 

The project is not currently funded for construction.

 

The meeting is an open house beginning at 5:30 p.m. Staff will be available to talk about the project, and answer questions.
