FDOT Partners to Offer “Shared-Use” Park & Ride Lot in Titusville

Commuters now have a new location to meet up to share the ride to work

Titusville – The Florida Department of Transportation District 5 office is partnering with Hope Community Fellowship to provide a Park & Ride location at 2929 Cheney Highway in Titusville. The partnership will be commemorated with a ribbon-cutting event on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at 5:30 p.m. at the location. Titusville Mayor James H. Tulley, Jr. and Space Coast Area Transit Director Jim Liesenfelt will speak at the event.

The existing parking lot at Hope Community Fellowship now features 10 parking spaces designated for carpools and vanpools. The 10 spaces are for commuters to park their personal vehicles and to then complete their trip as a carpool or vanpool group.

This Park & Ride lot in Titusville is not alone in Brevard County. There are three additional Park & Ride lots for commuters to use:

Parking at these lots is free and is available on a first-come, first-served basis.

Commuters that are interested in forming carpool or vanpool groups can get started by contacting FDOT’s reThink program, which is the region’s commuter assistance program. To contact reThink, call 866-610-RIDE (7433) or visit www.reThinkYourCommute.com.
