Orange County – Work continues on I-4 just south of Orlando, and motorists need to be on the lookout for multiple lane closures. These lane closures are needed so that stay-in-place metal decking can be installed over both spans of the overpass. The overpass is part of a project by Orange County Roads/Public Works.
The contractor will do progressive lane closures on the westbound and eastbound lanes of I-4 and divert traffic to a new temporary inside lane. The lane closures include both inside and outside lane.
• September 30th (Sunday night) to October 5th (Friday morning)
• To be closed as follows:
o 9:00 p.m. – Single Lane
o 10:00 p.m. – Double Lane
o 12:30 a.m. – 5:30 AM – Triple Lane
Be advised that weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances could affect construction schedules.
The Florida Department of Transportation urges motorists to drive carefully in construction zones, and encourages all vehicle occupants to buckle up. Safety belts save lives.
