The bridge operation is scheduled for both night and day work in three phases:

Phase One:   Bridge Demolition

Days: Sunday through Friday
Hours: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.
End: Friday 10/26/12

Phase Two:   Bridge Foundations (outer ends)
Start: Wednesday 11/1/12
Days: Monday through Friday
Hours: 7 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
End: Friday 11/16/12

Phase Three:  Bridge Foundations (SR 50 median)
Start: Sunday 11/18/12
Days: Sunday through Friday
Hours: 7 p.m. to 6 a.m.

Residents, business owners and drivers along SR 50 should be on the alert for noise levels that will be higher than normal. As the widening project for SR 50 and US 27 reaches the mid-way point, lane closures with detours continue to be in place. Variable Message Signs guide travelers along the route. Weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances could alter work schedules.

The Florida Department of Transportation urges motorists to drive carefully in construction zones. All vehicle occupants should buckle up. Safety belts save lives.
