The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information meeting regarding the construction of a public sidewalk along State Road (SR) A1A in the City of Cocoa Beach.
The project includes construction of a new 8 foot concrete sidewalk along the east side of SR A1A. The project extends from South 16th Street to South 1st Street and from Orlando Avenue to Wakulla Lane. It also includes the construction of swales and minor modifications to water meter and utility pull-box locations. All work is occurring in the existing right-of-way. The project is funded for construction beginning in July 2013.
The meeting is scheduled Thursday, September 27 in the City Commission Chambers at the City of Cocoa Beach City Hall at 2 S. Orlando Avenue, Cocoa Beach, Fl 32932. It begins with an open house at 5 p.m. and includes a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m. The meeting ends at 7 p.m. The presentation video is also available online at www.cflroads.com:
