Port Orange– The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is providing project support to Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) while reconstruction work at the S. Nova Road/SR-5A railroad crossing occurs. The reconstruction replaces the current crossing surface.


Motorists will encounter detours lasting three (3) nights beginning at 7:00 a.m., Sunday, September 9, 2012.  Traffic flow is anticipated to return to normal at 6:00 a.m., Wednesday, September 12, 2012.


The SR-5A/S. Nova Road detours are:


Eastbound SR-5A/S. Nova Road:                    North on Spruce Creek Road
                                                                        East on Dunlawton Avenue
                                                                        South on US-1
Westbound SR-5A/S. Nova Road:                   North on US-1
                                                                        West on Dunlawton Avenue
                                                                        South on Spruce Creek Road
                                                                        West on SR-5A/S. Nova Road

Motorists should be alert for construction personnel and equipment along the construction corridor. Motorists are urged to use caution and drive with care.
