Orange County – The John Young Parkway Extension Project enters a new—and highly visible—phase as bridge girder installation begins, and continues for the next couple months.

 

The work calls for overnight detours and lane closures; including Orange Blossom Trail (US 441) between John Young Parkway (SR 423) and Parkway Center Ct. from September 4, 2012 through November 1, 2012.

 

The surface streets will re-open to traffic during daytime hours.

• Contractor to install bridge girders
• 9:00 PM to 6:00 AM
• September 4, 2012 through November 1, 2012

 

Detours: 

Northbound on John Young Parkway / Lee Road (SR 423)

To access Orange Blossom Trail (US 441) north bound
• Continue on John Young Parkway to Edgewater Drive (SR 424)
• Turn left onto Edgewater Drive going north towards Clarcona–Ocoee Road
• Turn left on Clarcona-Ocoee Road to Orange Blossom Trail (US 441)

 

Southbound on Lee Road (SR 423)

To access Orange Blossom Trail (US 441) north bound
• Turn Right onto Edgewater Drive going north towards Clarcona–Ocoee Road
• Turn left on Clarcona-Ocoee Road to Orange Blossom Trail (US 441)

 

Southbound on Orange Blossom Trail (US 441)

Orange Blossom Trail (US 441) will be closed between Parkway Center Ct and John Young Parkway / Lee Rd. (SR 423). To continue south on US 441 - towards Silver Star Road (SR 416)
• Make a right turn onto Parkway Center Ct
• Turn left onto Parkway Commerce Blvd
• Turn left onto Lake Breeze Drive
• Turn right onto John Young Parkway south
• Turn left on Ace Road or Shader Road
• Turn right or left onto US 441
• At SR 423 and US 441 road will be closed to all traffic

 

Northbound on Orange Blossom Trail (US 441)

Orange Blossom Trail (US 441) will be closed between John Young Parkway / Lee Road to Parkway Center Ct.
• Turn Right on Lee Road (SR 423) to Edgewater Drive (SR 424)
• Turn left onto Edgewater Drive (SR 424) going north towards Clarcona–Ocoee Road
• Turn left on Clarcona-Ocoee Road to Orange Blossom Trail (US 441)

 

Be advised that weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances could change schedules.
