Seminole County – Motorists need to watch out for lane closures along I-4 in the Sanford and Lake Mary areas beginning tonight and continuing off-and-on for nearly the next two weeks. These lane closures are needed for the installation of overhead signs and paving work.
The operations will include single and double lane closures between 10 p.m. and 6 a.m. The work will alternate between eastbound and westbound sides. The area is from Lake Mary Boulevard to US 17-92 in the Sanford area.
Be advised that weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances could affect construction schedules.
The Florida Department of Transportation urges motorists to drive carefully in construction zones, and encourages all vehicle occupants to buckle up. Safety belts save lives.
