Seminole County - Motorists should be on the look-out for overnight lane closures on both sides of Interstate 4 this week. It's happening between Lake Mary Boulevard and County Road (CR) 46A. There will also be a detour on northbound State Road (SR) 417 for motorists trying to reach westbound I-4.  It begins Tuesday night, July 17th. 

 

Crews will work on the structural asphalt on the westbound I-4 mainline. Also, assembly of truss structure sections will occur in the median, which requires a crane to move the parts that are being assembled. Sufficient work space is needed for the crane.

 

Details:

 

•     Most work is occurring between 10 p.m. - 5 a.m.

•     Tuesday night, July 17 through Wednesday morning, July 18th -watch for lane closure on eastbound I-4 between Lake Mary Boulevard and County CR 46A.

•     Wednesday morning, July 18th (1 a.m. - 5 a.m.) -traffic on northbound SR 417 is detoured onto southbound Rinehart Road, to westbound CR 46A, to the westbound I-4 on-ramp.

•     Wednesday night, July 18 through Thursday morning, July 19th -watch for lane closure on westbound I-4 between Lake Mary Boulevard and County CR 46A.

 


The Florida Department of Transportation urges motorists to drive carefully in construction zones, and that all vehicle occupants buckle up. Safety belts save lives.
