Motorists need to be on the lookout starting Sunday, June 24 as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) provides project support to Florida East Coast Railway (FEC) to allow them to conduct reconstruction work at the North Nova Road railroad crossing. The reconstruction will replace the current crossing surface.
Motorists will encounter detours lasting three nights beginning at 7:00 p.m., Sunday, June 24. Traffic flow is anticipated to return to normal at 6:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 27. Detour details are as follows:
Northbound North Nova Road: East on Granada Boulevard (SR 40)
North on US-1
Southbound North Nova Road: South on US-1
West on Granada Boulevard (SR 40)
For more information about the project, contact Mr. Leslie Schonder, Florida East Coast Railway at 904-279-3196.
Motorists should be alert for construction personnel and equipment along the construction corridor. Motorists are urged to use caution and drive with care.
The Florida Department of Transportation urges drivers to buckle up. Safety belts save lives.
