The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 5, is holding a public information meeting regarding plans to provide operational improvements along S. Ridgewood Avenue (US 1/SR 5) in Port Orange.
The project improves the function of the intersections of Dunlawton Avenue and Herbert Street with S. Ridgewood Avenue. The project extends from just south of Dunlawton Avenue to just north of Herbert Street. It also involves the addition of several turn lanes, improvements to the signals at both intersections, sidewalk improvements, and restriping of S. Ridgewood Avenue to provide bicycle lanes and remove on-street parking. The project is not funded for construction.
The meeting is scheduled Tuesday, April 24th at the Port Orange Public Library located at 1005 City Center Circle in Port Orange. It begins with an open house at 4:30 p.m. and includes a brief presentation at 5:30 p.m. The meeting ends at 6:30 p.m. The presentation video is also available online at: www.cflroads.com.
