Adult Construction Career and Continuing Education Forum on Wednesday
ORLANDO, FL – The 10th annual Central Florida Construction Career Days (CCD) is underway from today (Tuesday, January 24) through Thursday, January 26 at the Central Florida Fairgrounds, 4603 W. Colonial Drive, Orlando.
This three-day event for high school students spotlights career and training opportunities in the highway and bridge construction industry. To date, over 13,200 students have participated in Central Florida CCD. The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), Florida Transportation Builders Association, Federal Highway Administration in conjunction with the Orange, Osceola, Seminole, Volusia, Lake and Brevard County Schools are taking part.
In addition, the construction / transportation industry, Federal Highway Administration and the FDOT are hosting the third annual Transportation Construction Career and Continuing Education Forum on Wednesday, January 25, from 2:30 p.m. until 5 p.m. at the Central Florida Fairgrounds. The goal of the forum is to provide adults information on career planning, training, and career opportunities. This forum is open to the public and is free to attend. Information pertaining to the SunRail project, creating a resume’, application and mock interview presentations, continuing education, and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise (DBE) supportive services are also provided as part of the forum.
