Affects State Road (SR) 419/434 and SR 426
Oviedo - The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is conducting a public meeting regarding two proposed projects that will impact motorists and pedestrians in the Oviedo area. The meeting is being held Tuesday, December 6, at Seminole County Public Library – East Branch, 310 North Division Street, Oviedo, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. There will be two narrated presentations at 6 p.m. and 6:45 p.m.
Plans call for repaving, safety and sidewalk improvements on State Road (SR) 419/ SR434 (Sanford-Oviedo Road/Central Avenue), from west of Jetta Point to Clonts Street, and on SR 426 (Broadway Street) from Pine Avenue to SR 434 (Central Avenue). The SR 419/SR 434 project will also add signals the intersection at Franklin Street, remove several trees within FDOT right-of-way and construct sidewalk and paved shoulders in various locations. Sidewalks will also be constructed on the north side of SR 426 to provide connectivity from Pine Avenue to Central Avenue. The projects will be constructed together and are targeted for construction in 2014.
