Interchange Construction in Brevard County near City of Melbourne [426905-3] View Project
  • Thursday, July 25th, 2019 to Saturday, August 31st, 2019

    Monday - Saturday, 6 a.m. to 4 p.m., I-95 north and southbound single lane closures for construction of new interchange.

    Thursday, July 25 Midnight-5 a.m., I-95 northbound and southbound single lane closures will have a pacing operation in place for a crane move 

    Continuous Closure of John Rodes Boulevard at Ellis Road

    When: Sunday, August 4 at 9 p.m., through late fall.

    What: Closure of South John Rodes Boulevard at Ellis Road, only local traffic will be allowed access between Sheridan Road and Sarno Road.

    Detour: Traffic will be detoured around the intersection using Sheridan Road, South Wickham Road, West Eau Gallie Boulevard (State Road 518), and Sarno Road

  • Thursday, July 25th, 2019 to Saturday, August 31st, 2019

    Monday – Friday, 10 p.m. to 7 a.m., single lane closures on S.R. A1A and W. Cocoa Beach Causeway (S.R. 520) can be expected

    Detour Beginning Thursday, August 1 and lasting up to 90 days  

    There will be a detour in place to accommodate the reconstruction of the continuous turn lane at the southwest corner of W. Cocoa Beach Causeway (S.R.520) and S.R.A1A. 

    Westbound S.R. 520 traffic, looking to travel south on S.R. A1A, will be directed to turn south on Bay Street and follow it around behind the CVS where S.R.A1A southbound access will be available.

    Monday-Friday, 10 p.m.- 6 a.m., northbound and southbound intermittent single lane closures on U.S.1 (S.R. 5) and Suntree Boulevard can be expected.

    Traffic Pattern Switch-Wednesday, July 10, 2019

    The project team will shift traffic from the two existing travel lanes on the southside of Suntree Boulevard, to the newly placed asphalt on the northside of Suntree using channelizing devices that include barricades as well as signage. 

    This new traffic pattern will be in place until the project team completes  construction activities on the south side of Suntree.

    Please note that weather and other unforeseen events may impact project schedules.

    Monday -Friday, 3 a.m.-6 p.m. Single lane closures in both eastbound and westbound directions can be expected on S.R. 50 (Cheney Highway) for roadwork.
