This project is the result of a study completed in July of 2010 under a Community Traffic Safety Program. Based on the study results, recommendations were developed to improve safety along the corridor by modifying existing median openings (cross-overs) to more effectively and safely control the turning movements of vehicles across SR 434. This project will not require right-of-way acquisition, all proposed work is in the median.
Current News
A Public Hearing was held on Tuesday, September 13th, 2011 at the Spirit of Joy Lutheran Church located at 1801 Rouse Road, Orlando Florida 32817. The purpose of this public hearing was to receive public input to determine how the project will affect access to businesses and the potential economic impact of the project on the local community. Staff members were available to discuss the project and answer questions regarding the project.
A Public Meeting is being arranged to occur in September of 2012.
