Construction of an 8’ sidewalk on the east side of A1A and attenuate from S 16th Street to S 1st Street and replacement of existing asphalt sidewalk with same width concrete sidewalk from Orlando Ave to Wakulla Lane.

The Department will be working with the condominiums and businesses that have parking in the DOT right-of-way to determine the best location of the sidewalk in these areas.
The Memorandum of Understanding between the Department and the City was approved unanimously on August 18, 2011.
A public meeting was held on July 13, 2011 at City of Cocoa Beach – City Hall, 2 S. Orlando Ave, Cocoa Beach, Fl 32931 to discuss these issues below:
- FPL Poles were just replaced. The Department will practice avoidance to reduce public expenditures.
- Residents mail boxes, walls, City of Cocoa Beach and businesses parking are present in the Department’s right-of-way. The Department will seek to clear right-of-way.
