Seminole County – Motorists need to be on the lookout for ramp closures and detours in the Sanford area. This will affect State Road (SR) 417 northbound and southbound, as well as I-4 westbound. It involves two separate overnight events; one overnight Sunday-Monday morning and another overnight Thursday-Friday morning. These closures are occurring so the construction crew can install bridge beams. Details are:



10 p.m. Sunday, May 20 to 5:00 a.m. Monday May 21

 

• Closing:
Northbound SR 417 ramp to westbound I-4
• Detour:
Onto Rinehart Road then south to County Road (CR) 46-A then west to the westbound I-4 on ramp


• Closing:
Westbound I-4 ramp to southbound SR 417

• Detour:
Use the westbound connector/distributor ramp to CR 46-A then east to Rinehart Road and north to the southbound SR 417 on ramp

 

• Closing:
Southbound SR 417 on ramp from International Parkway

• Detour:
Onto SR 46 on the north or CR 46-A on the south for access to I-4 and SR 417

 


10 p.m. Thursday, May 24 to 5:00 a.m. Friday May 25


                      
• Closing:
Northbound SR 417 ramp to westbound I-4
• Detour:
West on the SR 417 extension then south on International Parkway and east on CR 46-A to the I-4 westbound ramp

 

The Florida Department of Transportation urges motorists to drive carefully in construction zones, and encourages all vehicle occupants buckle up. Safety belts save lives.

 

Be advised that weather conditions and other unforeseen circumstances could affect construction schedules.
