	This work is expected to be completed overnight and involves closing one lane from 12:00 a.m. to 4:00 a.m. If there is inclement weather on May 17th, the work will be conducted on Sunday, May 20th.</p>

	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding an alternatives public meeting for the SR 40 PD&amp;E Study.&nbsp; The study involves the evaluation of roadway concepts to address the widening of SR 40 from four-lanes to six-lanes from Breakaway Trail to Williamson Boulevard, a distance of approximately two miles.&nbsp;</p>

	&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	The meeting is Thursday, June 7th from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Riverbend Community Church located at 2080 W. Granada Boulevard in Ormond Beach.&nbsp; The meeting begins as an open house at 5:00 p.m. with a presentation describing the different project alternatives at approximately 6:00 p.m.</p>

	Volusia County &ndash; Motorists need to be on the look-out for a traffic pattern switch that will be taking place beginning Tuesday, May 8 on the US 92 construction project currently underway between DeLand and Daytona Beach.</p>

	The traffic pattern switch is occurring from Indian Lake Road, to just to the east of Clark Bay Road. Traffic is being switched to the westbound roadway and includes a two way configuration (one lane eastbound and one lane westbound.)&nbsp;</p>
<p>

	<br />
	The project includes grinding and smoothing sections of concrete, as well as replacing damaged slabs. Shoulder repaving, intersection modifications, new pavement markings and increased safety features for pedestrians are also part of the project.&nbsp;</p>
<p>
	<br />
	<br />
	The entire US 92 project covers some 13 miles, from Kepler Road to just west of Tomoka Farms Road. It began March 2011. Expected completion is February 2013. The entire project costs a little more than $13.6 million. Superior Construction Company and its subcontractors are performing the work.&nbsp;</p>

<p>
	The project includes the construction of a left turn lane along Nova Road, milling and resurfacing the intersection, discontinuation of the northbound continuous green light and replacement of Traffic Signal Mast Arm and street lighting.&nbsp;</p>

	Halifax Paving, Inc. is performing the work. The project will last approximately 80 calendar days, weather permitting. The project construction cost is $307,254.</p>

	The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) is holding a public information meeting regarding plans to widen US 92 from the I-4 ramps to Tomoka Farms Road in Volusia County.</p>

	This project consists of widening US 92 from a four lane highway to six lanes.&nbsp; It also includes drainage improvements, intersection improvements at LPGA Boulevard and Tomoka Farms Road intersections with US 92, sidewalks, and a shared use path. Two new bridges will replace the existing Tomoka River twin bridges.&nbsp; Access to all businesses adjacent to the improvements will be maintained throughout the construction period.&nbsp; Final design will be completed towards the end of 2013.&nbsp; The project is currently not funded for right of way or construction.</p>

	The meeting is scheduled for Wednesday, June 6 at the Volusia Transportation Planning Organization (TPO) office located at 2570 W. 	This $174,897.66 project involves milling and resurfacing.</p>

	Motorists will encounter detours beginning at 7a.m., Tuesday, May 1. The detours will be in place for approximately 60 days, weather permitting.</p>

	Lake &amp; Volusia Counties &ndash; Motorists need to be on the lookout beginning Monday, April 23 as the Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) begins bridge deck replacement operations on the Astor Bridge on SR 40 over the St. John&rsquo;s River. The project starts at the west approach of the bridge and goes to the end of the east approach.</p>
<p>

	Seacoast, Inc. will be performing the work. The project will last approximately 110 calendar days, weather permitting. The project cost is $798,327.</p>

	Traffic will be reduced to one way, controlled by a traffic signal during daytime operations and will be opened to two way traffic at night. Lane closures are to be expected throughout the project.&nbsp;</p>
